ICT as a Military Capability

Join us for the premium Military Information and Communications Symposium of South Africa (MICSSA). The theme of MICSSA 2018 is “ICT as a Military Capability”. The Management of ICT as a Military Capability within the context of an integrated full life cycle approach is complex in nature. The effects of such an approach on the military environment could be dramatic and needs to be managed constructively.

The aim of MICSSA is to address aspects on “ICT as a Military Capability” as applicable to the theme regarding the following:

Abstract Requirements: Prospective Authors must submit an Abstract of at least two hundred (200) words by 09 March 2018.

Abstract must be submitted in PDF format. Text must be in 12 Point Arial Font and 1.5 spacing. Abstracts to be submitted to

Abstract Acceptance: Authors will be notified of acceptance by 21 March 2018. Full Paper Requirements: Prospective Authors smust submit a full paper of minimum six (6) and maximum ten (10) pages in length by 18 April 2018. A Short One (1) Paragraph Curriculum Vitae is also required. Papers must be submitted to

At least 1 author from each accepted paper must pre-register and attend the conference or arrange for co-author or knowledgeable colleague to present their paper. Papers will be vetted to ensure non-disclosure of DOD confidential information.

Papers that do not satisfy this requirement will not be included in the proceedings of the symposium and authors will be notified as such. Presentations must be submitted before 02 May 2018.
